Are Tests Accurate?

Description
This brief PowerPoint presentation shares key points about test accuracy. Presents two different categories of tests—teacher-made tests and publisher-made tests—from the perspective of accuracy. While many tests may claim a high degree of accuracy, it is widely recognized that there are many complex factors that can affect how accurately any single test is able to measure what students have learned. All tests are fallible to some degree, so judgments or classifications based on them should be made with care. An important decision should not be based on a single test result—no matter how accurate that test is.
